Freedom
The Powerhouse Freedom 36 hole golf trolley is becoming more popular out on the golf course and once we took it out for a spin we soon discovered why. The Freedom is about £100 or more cheaper than most of the popular electric golf trolleys but you get value for money because you don’t miss out on any of the features. You will be able to pick up the Freedom for around £250 but if you have a look around you will find it cheaper.

The Powerhouse Freedom frame is quite stylish and elegant and your golf bag sits well on it. The frame is made from strong, lightweight alloy tubing and it’s finished in metallic gun metal grey.
The Freedom takes no time at all to assemble with its fast action folding mechanism. Once you have the trolley in position you simply lock it into the upright position and you are ready to attached the battery. The 36 hole battery sits nicely in-between the two wheels of the trolley and is easily attached. It is just as easy to unfold the trolley and if you remove the wheels, you will be able to store the trolley away into nice storage space or most car boots.
The Freedom handle is as basic as they come for an electric golf trolley and can be used by a right or left handed golfer. We found it easy to manoeuvoure the golf trolley around the course as long as you have the speed settings at the right speed for you. We encountered some problems on steep slopes and tough terrain, only because the wheels lost traction and the ground was wet.
Powerhouse Freedom Electric Golf Trolley

Selecting the speed of the trolley is simple and all you have to do is twist the revolving speed control and your trolley will get off to a nice smooth start and then you can gently increase the speed to match your own pace. One thing we look for when taking an electric golf trolley out is making sure it has a smooth, controlled start and the Freedom delivered. Unlike some of the electric golf trolleys on the market the Freedom doesn’t have a distance control option that allows your trolley to travel on its own up to a certain distance. Don’t worry about this as all other aspects of the trolley match up.
The Freedom has a freewheel option and you can use it just like a traditional push golf trolley.
The Freedom gets its power from a 28AH 36 hole battery and will easily last you the full 18 holes and more. You should never run out of battery on the golf course with the Freedom Terrain as there is an integrated battery meter, on the handle, that gives you readings in five stages. The battery readings start at green, decreasing through yellow and finally to red which is the indications that your battery needs charged up.
Overall this is a neat, well built golf trolley, that will do a fantastic job and you get excellent value for money but we recommend to upgrade to the Freedom Terrain with the sports wheels.
