Freedom TX
The Powerhouse Freedom TX, 36 hole golf trolley is an remote controlled electric golf trolley. Remote controlled electric golf trolleys are great fun to have out on the golf course and they certainly distract you the first couple times you take them out but once you get used with them they really do help relax you out on the golf course. You will be able to pick up the Freedom TX for around £350-£400 and this is excellent value for money for a remote controlled electric golf trolley.
The Powerhouse Freedom TX has a similar frame to that of Powerhouses’ other two electric golf trolleys; strong, lightweight alloy tubing and is finished in metallic gun metal grey. The Freedom TX is stylish and elegant and your golf bag sits well on it.
The Freedom TX takes no time at all to assemble with its fast action folding mechanism. Once you have the trolley in position you simply lock it into the upright position and you are ready to attach the battery. The 36 hole battery sits nicely in-between the two independent motors of the trolley and is easily attached. It is just as easy to unfold the trolley and if you remove the wheels, you will be able to store the trolley away into small storage space or will fit into most car boots.
The Freedom TX is great out on the course and especially when you are walking down to the first tee, controlling it with your hand held remote control. Be sure to have a practise with the controls before heading out so you can get to grips with manoeuvring the golf trolley as you don’t want it firing over the first tee. The hand held remote controls are easy to use and the Freedom TX obeys all your instructions should it be left, right, forward or backwards, it will go where you tell it to go. The Freedom TX comes with 5 forward speeds and it also comes with a pre-programmed distance control that will allow the trolley to travel a certain distance before coming to a halt. If the Freedom TX doesn’t receive an instruction from the remote control after a certain length of time, the trolley will automatically come to a halt.

There is no doubt that you feel more relaxed out on the golf course not having to hold onto anything and just walk as normal while you control the electric golf trolley with the hand held remote control.
Having said that you can also use the Freedom TX as a standard electric golf trolley, and it has all the same functions as the Freedom.
The Freedom TX handles fairly well out on the golf course and performs well over the tough terrain and steep slopes. Powerhouse has given the Freedom TX an extra wheel at the back of the trolley to give it more stability. We found this to be a great addition to the trolley.
The Freedom TX has two 150W independent motors that drive each rear wheel independently. This is what steers the trolley. You can hear a slight noise off of the trolley when it is coming to a halt but when you are walking down the fairway you really can’t hear a thing.
The Freedom TX is powered with a 36AH 36 hole battery and will easily last you the full 18 holes and more. You should never run out of battery on the golf course with the Freedom TX as there is an integrated battery meter, on the handle, that gives you readings in five stages. The battery readings start at green, decreasing through yellow and finally to red which is the indications that your battery needs charged up.
Overall this is a really good golf trolley that offers great value for money. It does a good job out on the golf course and will keep going for the full 18. So far we have not spoken or came across anyone who has anything bad to say about this trolley and we totally agree.
